Found some more shots of our Football Dash and Cheerity from Ikkicon!
These pictures were taken by Filmshooter.us, who pulled us aside right out of the crowd to take some free photos! His booth was set up the whole weekend taking wonderful shots of cosplayers for free, and they’re all up online now. What an awesome dude. I hope to see him as more cons in the future too :D

PONIES!! From Ikkicon!Source: filmshooter.us
First of all, just…wow. Talk about an amazing convention! Egoraptor, LittleKuriboh, and Teahouse?! All in the same Artist Alley?? Not to mention the Hyatt was a beautiful hotel/convention center and was right on the Riverwalk!
CAN I JUST
MARRY THIS CONVENTION
I didn’t do any serious cosplaying this time, personally — just a quick Takumi/Trueno duo we put together the week of, plus some Klavier and Apollo as usual. Can’t get through a con without him.
The AristoGamer panel (“How To Review Games and be Mildly Entertaining”) was a great success as well (despite the laptop sound not cooperating near the end). They had a mini Street Fighter tourney after the Q&A session and gave away some great swag from SDCC!
We also met LittleKuriboh, who was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to!! I’m so glad I went to his panel (even though we waited outside it for an hour ahaha) and that he was hanging out in Artist Alley the rest of the time. It was great to meet him and his lady, who was just as delightful and funny as LK himself!!
(I also talked to the Teahouse ladies for a little while and intended to buy Chapter 1, but they had sold out! They were super friendly and made me yearn for the day I will be able to afford the trip to Otakon or YaoiCon to meet HamletMachine and other webcomic artists that don’t frequent the Texas con scene.)
And of course, having the Riverwalk and the Rivercenter Mall right there was very cool and damn convenient. If I ever wanted something to eat or drink (including beer!! on tap!!), we could just walk over to the mall like last year.
San Japan is always such a treat! It’s definitely my favorite con in the state, especially with how awesome the guests and programming have been in the past couple years.
You go, San Japan!!
Keep being fantastic!!
…It’s nearing the end of the semester, which means getting ready for finals, finishing up papers, and trying not to slack off! Not for long though, come the beginning of May I should be getting back into cosplay mode!
Anyway, cut out all of Claire’s vest fabric. Didn’t finish tonight, but at least I got started!
I cannot wait to fade/age the fabric and paint this bad boy!
That’s all for tonight, back to Calculus!
my Lotz tunic is coming together!
I’m drafting the pattern out of bullshit and lies and scrap pieces that aren’t big enough to make an entire sleeve, so yuuup
here’s to hoping it actually looks like a garment when it’s all done.
OH HI I guess I’ll make one too!
I’m Peony and I like to make pretty girl dresses all the time.
Other than that, I study Biochem in Houston because Lubbock was just too far away. SPOILERS A LOT OF US LIKE TEXAS TECH SO WATCH OUT.
I have way too many fandoms to pick out any mains. Alright, WELL. Legend of Zelda, Ace Attorney, Avatar the Last Airbender and Mobile Suit Gundam are the winners, I guess.
THERE ARE LIKE….NO CURRENT PHOTOS OF ME. THESE ARE OLD AS HELL. DEAL.
My lifetime goal is to remake Ema Skye because she is me and I am her in every way
ANYWAY. I have my own cosplay tumblr here where I will just post mostly wip, and then crosspost the main completed posts or tutorials or WHATEVER ELSE IS NOT BORING here!
Oh and here I am in my natural state
