I didn’t have any costumes planned for San Japan, so I borrowed Peony’s Lumpy Space Princess costume and had fun being lumpy all day on Saturday. Mexi took these photos for me! In retrospect, I need to perfect the sassy face!

I also earned a second-degree sunburn on Thursday before San J, so I’m pleased this costume was comfortable and didn’t show my burn much at all. Whew!

We also got to meet up with bondofflame (the Axel cosplayer), FINALLY, after having known her for years but always having the hardest time meeting up with her somehow. We actually met her at Nostalg*a’s first con together EVER back at A-Kon ‘06, before we even had a name for our group. DANG that was a lifetime ago!

Then we realized that a lot of the people in our room this time were Texas Techsans, so we got excited and rolled around in the Tech nostalgia for the rest of the con. Sapp still goes there, Peony and I transferred, Brittany just graduated, and Colby is also an alum. Wreck ‘em!!
